FR balances the properties of mechanical and thermal stability with low flammability. Braided from specially formulated flame-retarded polyester yarns, it shows no significant degradation from immersion in water, salt water, jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids or antifreeze compounds. FR is easily identifiable by its contrasting crisscross tracer.
